The Dance of the Mouseketeer

Details- Here we have an amazing two piece dance costume from the 1950s. It features a pink bustier with lavender ruffles around the top, with an attached lavender tutu all made from an oval, eyelet net, with a lavender tulle underbelly. A small purple bow can be found at the sweetheart neckline and two small 3D rosettes on the top of the bustier with another two on the tutu.

The darling bottoms are the same pink satin as the bustier with layers of purple tulle around them. They fasten at the side waist with hooks and snaps.

Normally, if a piece has a historical tie it will only be noted if there is provenance to back it up and it is then reflected in the price. While this piece has no provenance and its historical ties will not be reflected in the price, it would be a shame not to mention that this dance costume belonged to Karen Pendleton, one of the original Mouseketeers.
