A 1930's feedsack butterscotch dream!

Design - This dress was designed to emphasize movement with it's flutter sleeves and it's gathered, two-tiered full length. It has ties at the waist that are hidden until they emerge from the right side into a bow.

Material - a soft, breathable, butterscotch yellow feedsack material covered in a scattered black/red floral novelty print.

Maker - As with the majority of truly original feedsack dresses there is no makers mark. The women of the era were, by necessity, expert seamstresses and designers often creating patterns from their imaginations using old news paper. This maker, most likely, awaiting the arrival and emptying of new feedsacks before she washed them and put them together to create a new garment.
