An Emerald Beauty Adrift in A 1920s Dreem...


Design - This stunning 1920s dress comes to you in a vivid emerald green silk with a pussy willow print. It is sleeveless (I believe that the dress once had sleeves and was altered) with a drop waist with many wonderful design elements. It's slant V collar is met with a series of diamond shaped covered buttons and a large cascading bow. The skirt of the dress has three rows of raised stitching , another large cascading bow that greets a rise in the swirling, dipping hem of the skirt. There is a series of darting at the neckline on the back of the dress. I cant get over the rich, printed material and design of this piece!

Condition - This dress is in good vintage condition for its age, with the exception of one small black spot on the back (think eraser head). The other thing I want to note is that I am sure that this piece has been altered to be sleeveless as the arm holes are longer than usual and there is a like colored bias on the inside at the opening that looks to be more of a modern alteration. Please look to the photos to see the slip is seen through the armholes. Even in its altered condition this dress is simply stunning in color and design. It comes to you in clean, ready-to-wear condition.
