Fantastic 1940s navy blue Sportclad sweater with motorcycle rider wings patch, by J.C. Penney, boat neck, Sz Sm - M

One To Hit The Open Road In....


Design - This fantastic 1940s Sportclad sweater comes in a rich, dark thick weave, navy blue wool. It has features a boat neck and classic wide waist ribbing as well as ribbed cuffs. Sewn on the left upper arm of the sweater is a 4 1/2" black and yellow felt & embroidered patch of a motorcycle rider with wings. Our military specialist was able to match the era of the patch to the sweater but was unable (as were we) to determine what division and unit the patch belonged to. A great piece of men's vintage fashion.
