American Boro Farmers Coveralls...
Design - Dreem Co. brings this pair of 1920s to 1930s (donut buttons and style were found within both decades) to you in the spirit of the Japanese "Boro" style of workwear, meaning that this piece goes beyond clothing and tells a story of its wearer through the original wear and patches found throughout.
This pair of coveralls were rescued from a farm in South Central Kansas. It features a roadmap of the farmers life with hand sewn patches on its right leg, back left shoulder and back pocket, wear and fade to both shoulders that appear to indicate that the farmer used something with shoulder straps quite often, my favorite mark of the wearer are the metal U nails that were used to permanently close the left breast pocket indicating that the pocket must have somehow gotten in the of his daily chores, there are holes and wear throughout. It also features typical donut buttons that were used during the 1920s and 1930s on no name brands sold most likely in a general store in the area, the buttons are found on the collar for the chin strap, down the front on the hips and on the sleeves. A great depression era piece with a story to tell.
