A Two Tone Knitted Dreem...
Design -Here we have a gorgeous knit bolero from the early 1950s from Designer Greta Plattry. This piece has the feel of a carry over from her 1940s crocheted work that gave her her start in the world of fashion. It is a simple yet exquisite design with a thick black cotton, square knit open work pattern and a white, soutache in intricately folded ribbon work as the overlaying pattern. It features classic dolman sleeves with elasticized band that fits just under the elbow of the wearer. It has a black trim that goes around the neck and down the front, meeting a black knit, ribbed band at the waist that fastens with two small black buttons. A very unique designer piece that can be endlessly dress up or down.
Material - black knit, cotton, white ribbon, black buttons
Maker - "Greta Plattry Original - For Saks Fifth Avenue"
