Hand Painted Pongee Silk Dreem Set...

Design - Here we have a gorgeous example of hand painted, pongee silk Japanese Pajamas. This three piece set of pajamas (pants and top) and robe, are painstakingly, hand painted in soft greens and pinks and blues with a strong oxblood color to constrast. They are made from pongee silk with fantastic early Japanese motifs and symbols throughout, florals, clouds, dragons, waves and so on. The top is short sleeved with with a frog closure at the neck and a band of the hand painted design also at the neck and sleeves with the entire bottom portion of the top rife with the wonderful hand painted designs. The wide pants have the drawstring waist with a band of the hand painted design at the bottom. The robe features hand painted design at the shoulders, neckline and entire bottom piece. It is a wonderful original set of early Japanese loungewear in delectable pongee silk.
